With a very busy year in 2011 now behind us, I am very much looking forward to the opportunities and challenges ahead in 2012. There is no doubt that 2011 was a tough year, with cyclone Yasi devastating communities in the Far North and our economy continuing to struggle, but I will continue to work with you and fight to achieve tangible outcomes for the electorate of Leichhardt.
 
I am completely focused on continuing the work we started in 2011 to tackle issues such as strata title insurance, the Labor-Green proposal to lock up the Coral Sea, the urgent need to repair and build sea walls on islands in the Torres Strait and the ongoing fight to maintain health services to prevent the spread of tuburculosis from Papua New Guinea to the Torres Strait.  Read more >
